RV Camping Features:

  • $30 per night/RV for RVs 29' or less and with 1 AC unit

Fishing

We do allow fishing to the public in designated areas.  When you arrive to the Lake Waco Marina, please come to our office located in the Slippery Minnow to register.  We will show you the area were public fishing is allowed, accept a $5.00 per person fee and assign you a proof of registration sticker.  

FAQ's about fishing at Lake Waco Marina:

Q.  Where are we allowed to fish at the Lake Waco Marina? A. We allow fishing from the banks throughout the marina.  We do not allow fishing from any docks.  We do not allow fishing from the bank around the Slippery Minnow, the Slippery Minnow Bar & Grill or it's courtesy docks.

Q.  What if I have children under the age of 12 that are fishing? A.  It is $5.00 per person regardless of age.

Q.  What if I am only supervising my children's fishing trip, but have no intentions on fishing myself? A.  In the instance that you would like to supervise your children fishing but will not fish, you will NOT be charged.

Q. What if I want to fish but it is after the Marina office is closed?  A. You may drop the registration fee of $5.00 per person into the drop box located on the front gate of the Slippery Minnow.  When the marina office staff arrives, we will assign you a registration sticker.  We have onsite staff that monitor the grounds while we are away.  The staff will check the drop box to confirm fee has been paid.  

Q. How long is my registration sticker good for? A. Your registration sticker is good for one day.  If you want to come the following day, you will need to go thru the registration process again.

Q. How can we gain permission to fish from the docks? A.We only allow members of the Lake Waco Marina to fish from their dock. To become a memeber, you are required to rent a wet boat slip in which to dock your boat. Please visit the "Boat Slips" tab for detailed information and pricing.

Q. Does the marina sell bait?  A. We do not sell at the Lake Waco Marina.

Q.Do I have to have a fishing license to fish at the Lake Waco Marina? A. We do not ask for proof of fishing license.   The registration sticker we assign you IS NOT a state issued fishing license.  It is only a daily permit to fish here at Lake Waco Marina.  Please visit this website for more information on how to obtain a  fishing license http://tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/general/information/.  We do support all laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules of the United States, State of Texas and any of its agencies, County of McLennan, City of Waco, US Army Corps of Engineers of US Coast Guard.

Day Use:

Here at the Lake Waco Marina, we do have covered picnic tables available to the public for day use.  Once you arrive, you will need to stop the Lake Waco Marina office located in the Slippery Minnow to register. The fee to use the picnic tables are $10 for seven people.  All guest over seven will need to register at the office and pay a $2 per person fee.  If you are bringing your boat for the day,  you will be assigned a dock slip and pay the daily use dock fee of $5.  We do not allow you to tie your boat up to the bank during your day use.  We do not permit swimming at the marina.  You and  your seven guest will be assigned a registration sticker. Also, your boat will be assigned a registration sticker.
